PS3 Home And X-Box NXE
With the holidays just around the corner, Microsoft and Sony have turned up the heat with one of the best winter line-ups to date. Both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 are set to release major updates on the same day with the launch of the New Xbox Experience and PlayStation Home. For those unfamiliar with the NXE or Home, they are both visual environments to display an avatar on your next-gen console and interact with friends online in a whole new way. PlayStation Home has been in development for quite some time and has experienced a great number of delays due to its ambitious list of features. However, according to Internet reports, PS3 owners will finally get to delve into Home on November 19 – the same day that Microsoft confirmed that the NXE would debut. This comes as little surprise, as Sony has been correlating its big titles to release alongside with Microsoft's exclusives this holiday season. With Home finally dropping and such huge releases as LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, Resistance 2, and Call of Duty 5 all happening in the next few weeks, expect your wallet to feel considerably lighter in the run up to Christmas. Check back for more details as they become available.
